Why is my Picea glauca Daisy's White going brown?
I recently brought two Picea glauca Daisy's White to go in pots at the front of the house. One is doing really well - but the other (given same treatment) is starting to get brown leaves on one side....any ideas what might be causing this and how I might sort it out - at £14 each I don't really want to lose it! Thanks

Without a pic, I'm guessing wind burn damage or possibly a cat spraying - I had the same problem with a little fir my daughters bought me
If you can re locate it - temporarily - it might perk up again. A foliar feed might help too. I gave mine a little seaweed feed once it got a bit of new growth. If you suspect animal damage is more likely - remove both pots for a while or construct a little cage round the affected one to deter animals from that spot. It's a pain but might be the best solution.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you Fairygirl. Wind damage could be the cause - as with the recent winds it may well have been scorched....Thanks for your advice.
Hi Verdun - ahh, just normal general purpose compost, with some blood and bone to help it on its way. Do you think it is worth repotting in ericaseous compost then? The other one was planted the same and is doing okay - so a bit of a mystery. They are in the same position either side of the front door...!
