Whilst I was working in my garden yesterday I realises that I have not seen a single ladybird this year!!?? Where are they?? We live in the East Midlands on the outskirts of Nottingham and I we always have had ladybirds in the past!?
Maybe it is a bit early then but I'm sure in past years I've seen them still hibernating when I've been cutting back plants in early spring. Hopefully they will soon come out then ...

I'm in W Midlands/SE Staffordshire border. You are right NO LADYBIRDS at all. Mags
They are about, seen quite a few in clients gardens, but it's only just warmed up so many will still be a bit torpid.
Not seen a single one yet, I'm in the same area as Staffsmags, Kingswinford to be precise, whereabouts are you.
Seen 2x in my garden today in Sheffield, but only now the weather has warmed up and the sun is out
