Nanny Beach - I was replying to the original poster image

Mark Feather - why not continue sowing french beans as I understand you can make repeated sowings up to the end of July? Now that the weather has warmed up they should make good progress.

Mark Feather, have checked pack, bought Firestorm from Marshalls, yes you can still sow in June, had amazing crop from these last year.  Also growing Armstrong, only sowed my third crop a week ago, Pippa Greenwood (Gardeners World Mag) said they were a good cropper and stringless. OK PaulK2, ta, but also glad of tips anyway, even if not directly "mine".  May not particularly cold here, we topped 24d yesterday, (in the shade) Wednesday, took my dog on the beach, there were a lot of folk in swimwear sunbathing. Started cutting down a shrub taking up a lot of room, I thought was a Laurel, then I saw flowers, and label, saying it was a Viburnum!  So I left it be, wondering if it would now survive, told my Husband, went out, last night he told me he had dug it out!!!! Stupid Man.
