Quite a few of these popped up about 8 months after I sowed a packet of wild flower seeds. It's very pretty and I think, unusual.

Dog voilet I think. Lovely or actually think it's common voilet

Looks like a viola - nice little plants to have around the garden & they should self seed fairly easily.
They remind me of medieval lion carvings found in churches etc - they always have long tongues hanging out

They're all violas john but the common names are violet, pansy and some are known as violas. There, now you're really confused
