Bee ID

Right, this looks like a bumble bee but it's twice the size of the bumble bees visiting my raspberries. It perched on my sunny bee box this morning to warm up. Is it a queen?

Thought so - thanks Tom. I didn't realise queens leave the hive in the mornings to warm up, but it does make sense. I suspect they've decided to nest in the undergrowth near my camellias as I often see workers heading that way.
