Hawthorn leaves turning brown

in Talkback
My hawthorn

tree (can't remember the variety) is just about to blossom, however, about one third of the leaves have dried up and gone brown. Anyone know why?

Could you do a few more pics, I can't see what's going on there.
It doesn't look much like a hawthorn

Has white blossom tinged with pink and in bud now - thanks
Actually it doesn't have the typical hawthorn leaves does it?! I've never liked the tree but can't cut it down
It could be suffering from fireblight.

It doesn't look like any hawthorn I know
Can we have a picture of the blossom and one of the whole tree please?

I think we need to see pics of the undamaged plant, to ID it and then work out what it might be suffering from.

Here are some more pics of my tree - any ideas what it is and why leaves are turning brown? Thank you
I'll bump you up the forum but I can't see anything in enough detail to either ID or diagnose
