Death of the Loganberry!

HELP!!!
Planted two, what seemed perfectly healthy loganberry bushes, but they just died!!! They didn't even make an effort!!
I got some blackcurrant bushes at the same time and they are doing a treat.
As are last years raspberry bushes....all of which are in large pots.
Any ideas? just bugging me, as not a lot dies on me!!

You would need a very big pot for a Loganberry or any blackberry type of fruit, they are very vigorous.
