Wilting pear leaves
i purchased a pear tree last Autumn and planted it in a deep bottomless planter against a south facing wall. It is trained to run along the wall. It looks healthy enough in most ways as the blossom was beautiful in the Spring and it has put on new growth since planting. There is no sign of wooly fungus crown rot or aphid damage and I have checked that it is not being over watered as ground six inches down is not too wet. However I can only describe it as sad! The leaves are green but hang limply on the branch! Worried I had overwatered it earlier in the year I have been much more cautious of watering since. Drainage is very good. It's a conference pear. There are foxgloces ( which have grown crazily big and phlox in the same 120x120 planter. Could they be the problem? Should I water or feed or just leave it alone?

There is fireblight about this year, so have a look at that on line for images and see how they compare with your tree. (It's bacterial, entering via the blossom which fades and droops first and the laves follow).
