advice on poorly leaf blower needed please

Hey folks if any of you service your own equipment I could do with some advice. My echo pb620 leaf blower is very hard to start and when it fires up it runs like a dog for a good few minutes. There is cloudy looking petrol (petrol in tank is fresh) dripping out the air filter when its running which leaves a right mess on the ground. Any idea what's wrong with it? thanks, John

Agree with Edd. Did you run it dry before it was stored for the winter?  Carb may require an ultrasonic cleaning to remove corrosion with is caused be the stale petrol

The fuel will be cloudy as the blower uses petrol/two stroke oil mix at 1/50 ratio . Are you using a correct fuel ,oil mix ?  too much oil and the engine spark plug will oil up and run rough (also last seasons fuel will have evaporated the petrol and left an excess of oil in the mix) Too little oil in the mix and the engine will seize.
