Should I worry about these bugs ?

I am digging up a bit of lawn to make a flower bed and came across these two bugs. should I worry ? What is the best way to get rid of them ?

The 2nd is a chysalis of a butterfly, are you sure you want to get rid of it?
Top one might be a leather jacket, can't I estimate the size, you can squash that if it is, someone will tell you for sure

Thank you both, i will look after the butterfly chrysalis, and any others I find - and despatch the leather jackets as you suggest. this is my first experience on gardeners forum, and it is fantastic to have such immediate answers to queries .
