Rose identity

Pippa 2Pippa 2 Posts: 3
I have a beautiful flame red climbing rose which has unfortunately lost its label !!! The young leaves are purple, turning to a darkish green. It is extremely thorny and the open flowers have little significant scent. Flower buds are slim, long and mostly in clusters. Any chance someone can help me identify it???

Have a look on here http://www.classicroses.co.uk/ there's a helpful search facility down the left hand side

or contact them with a photo and details and see if they can help you narrow it down.

    Good luck image

YAY !!!  Many thanks.  Pretty sure that it is called Warm Welcome....the name rings a bell now too !!!

I wish I'd been as lucky trying to track down the name of the black grape vine up the front of my house!  If only labels didn't disintegrate!!!image

That's why garden notebooks are a good idea - if you remember to write in them image
