Tomato leaves turning brown - repeat now with pics
Hi,
These are seedlings I've grown myself. They were a bit late going outside as weather had been so bad but healthy if a little tall.
Since going outside last week (in good quality grow bags, same position as in other years) the leaves have been developing brown patches on them.
I don't know whats causing it, (somewhere online suggests temperature fluctuations at night could do this? It has been quite a cold spring so far- we're in SE London) but I'm worried it could be some sort of blight?
Is it best to leave the leaves on or pick them off? Have started to pick them off but worried that there'll be no leaves left at this rate!
Thanks,
Eve

Sorry I am new to this so I can't help you but my tomatoe plants leaves are turning yellow, any ideas why this is? They are growing in a small plastic green house
Thanks for that Edd I will keep a closer i on them!
Eve, it looks fungal. The underside of the smaller leaves towards the top right corner of the first photo seems to show lesions. Have a look underneath the larger leaf.
The second photo is different. It almost looks like herbicide damage. Have you sprayed anything near the plant?
To me it looks like the leaves were wet when they caught sun on them (upper picture). Not something that would upset an outdoor plant, but seedlings that have been freshly put out can be very sensitive. However, as Edd says, I would not worry too much... wait and see. Toms are pretty resilient plants.
