I got a few plants from Morrison's and have been impressed at the condition they are kept in, always been healthy and really good price. Got all my hollyhocks from there and they are growing well, be better with some sunshine tho!

I bought 2 Jap Maples from Waitrose reduced from £20 to £3.99 just because they'd lost their leaves in Autumn. I'll be keeping an eye on them this Autumn too.

    Devon.

you should check out garden centres on winter, I went to the sell off section of our local garden centre , everything was £1, I got a two foot tall tree peony! It looked like a stick in dry soil with no label, beautiful plant and even flowered this year. Its not just the supermarkets that don't treat plants well

Morrison's are brilliant for shrubs and plants ,  they have refinish gunships for £ 1-33 base is too.  We usually head for the clearance corner  and as others have said with a bit of pruning  and watering they shoot up in no time. It's important to repot. The shrubs if your not putting them in the ground straight away , as many are just pot bound .our garden centre will put many plants out for the taking at end of seasons .look out for these too .

I have  a hanging basket of strawberry plants   this year for free.image

I've had plants from my local Morrisons, and they were really good.

  • i've just bought 6 strawberry plants for £1 for my daughter to grow on from B&Q. Several in the pack were dead/dying so I just swapped those for healthy plants from the other reduced packs!!  Lots of other plant packs were wilting badly there too, such a waste.

Also, I too find Morrissons plants are good, healthy plants at very reasonable prices.  i bought 3 pots of Agapanthus 'Blue Umbrella' for £3 each. Can't wait for those to flower!
