Hi so many pro gardeners are giving different instructions of what to do with daffodills when they have finished flowering. What is the correct thing to do with the stems after flowering

Cut off the dead flowers before they grow a seed pod and then allow the leaves to die down naturally. I usually give them a feed of Fish Blood and Bone when I dead head them, to help the bulbs to bulk up for next year.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
