This has a tuberous root like a Dahlia (but smaller). I found it growing in shade under a large lilac. Any ideas?
Thanks,
TT
I think the leaves are distorted, it makes it diificult to ID. Is the root a real tuber or more like a carrot or parsnip root (on a smaller scale)?
I agree with the distorted leaves diagnosis, I wasn't sure if they were just juvenile.
More like a small black dahlia root so many "fingers", not just one like a carrot.
I think it's a case of 'wait and see'
