Onions from seed problems
in Fruit & veg
Hoping for a few ideas and help on this one,
for the last three years i have been struggling with growing onions from seeds and end up having to buy sets which are never that great.
again this year started seeds off on boxing day ( the kelsae) in module put in the greenhouse in a probagater and all seedlings have appeared but have gone leggy and most of them have flopped over. What am i doing wrong and any good growing on tips. thanks

Are they still in the propogator?-that might be your problem
hi yes still in propogator in cold greenhouse although i do have a heater in there for night to keep it just above freezing.
And the propagator is heated?-then they are too warm- growing to fast that is why they are leggy and soft
It might pay to start again -but treat them meaner
This might help more
