Isn't empty at all, we seem to have bees!
That's nice Steve. What sort are they/
I've not had a chance to get close enough to have a good look so I can try to identify them!
Possibly/probably Tree Bees - they frequently occuply nest boxes. They'll be gone by the winter. They're really good pollinators

I'm rather happy to have them, they won't annoy anyone and the next box is a good eight feet up the wall of the house so they aren't in the way!
Next door had two lots in their roof space last year - they caused no trouble at all and pollinated my beans a treat
I had rescue tree bees, they had nested in a bird box and the owner didn't like it. We liked it
Steve - snap! We have found the same in our tit box! It's a first for us. Quite like watching them busying around the entrance. Will be interesting to see if our fruit and veg produces any more with them just being a few yards away.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
