Pesticide

Hi there everyone, the other day I was searching online for home made pesticide for my herbs and veg. I made one with 13 clove of garlic blended mixed it's one part water and two part oil. I left it for over 24 hours and sieve out the garlic. This evening I went out there with one litre of water and a two teaspoons of the pesticide and started spraying. After I realised that there's oil residue left, I am worried that this oil will kill my plant if it's a hot day tomorrow. I am praying for rain tomorrow in the hope it flash it out. Have I added too much pesticide? Can anyone help me please.

And vegetable oil?  What type of plants did you spray?

    Utah, USA.
  • It's a form of melon but not fruit but cooking melon. I also sprayed it on my plum and apple tree.
  • Thanks Edd, it's just I noted there's different types of pest nesting on the leaves and it kind of scared me.
