Is this a ceanothus ?  I thought they would be in flower by now ?

Also the buds look pink, do you get ones with pink flowers or do the buds look pink, but the flowers end up blue ?

 Thank you.

Some pink buds DO give blue flowers. I have one in a clients garden, and was hoping it would be pink as I was going to get a cutting but it flowered bright blue. There is a hint of blue under the pink so wait and see.

I know of a pink one called Marie Simon, but it is deciduous. Does yours lose its leaves in winter? I have a similar blue one, Gloire de Versailles but it only has buds so far, a bit later flowering than the usual sort.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
