Think I will just sit outside with a fag and listen to the country sounds and hope my Nematodes are doing their job.

Every year the slugs are so bad in my garden that I won't go outside at night because I hate the feeling of slugs squishing beneath my feet. The patio is permanently covered in slug trails and the apple tree literally drips with slug goo and eggs. The whole trunk oozes with the stuff.

    BUT NOT THIS YEAR!

As soon as I saw the first sign of slugs I ordered a pack of those Nematodes ppl have been talking about and it's bloody fantastic. In total, this year I've seen FOUR slugs instead of four hundred. I'm quite simple amazed. It cost me £12.50 and my nightmare was over.

Over the years I've tried every anti slug method and device known to man and these nematodes are the only thing that's worked. I highly recommend giving them a try.

do nematodes kill other things too though? i'm sure i read somewhere you had to be wary of introducing them but i can't remember why image

    Hmm...so these nematodes really work?

  • MistwalkerMistwalker Posts: 65

No they don't kill other things. Nematodes are actually already in everyone's garden. Just not in numbers sufficient to do the job. They only attack slugs. They don't even affect snails so everything else from birds to cats and dogs are safe. I have two cats and they are perfectly fine and so are all the mice, birds etc that are buzzing around my garden. image

arh ok thanks for clarifying, i did have a frog,  i'd made it a pool with a little bamboo ladder too until the dog decided to mouth it and it's leg got broken but despite intensive care it died the next morning image
