Pruning advice
in Plants
I have inherited a large hebe in my new garden. The plant is about 2m wide and 1.5m high. Last year the plant was trailing on the ground and I raised the growth to about 60cms from ground level. I would now like to reduce the width and height and I am unsure how far I can cut into the plant. I would hate to lose it as the birds love to hide in the plant. I know I should wait until after flowering. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks

Thanks. It will take some time but I feel I have to do it this year. I still have the picture on the sale brochure and I cannot believe how much it has grown since July 2012.
