Hello. I've just moved into a new house am struggling to find out what this is. It's up to first floor level and is tied in. Any pointers would be gratefully appreciated

I agree, if it is the stems attach to the wall by little suckers. Probably Parthenocissus quinquefolia. Species name is telling us that the foliage is in five parts which fits with the image.
