Hi I have a black sambuca that had been in a pot for about three years. This year the branches are looking dead . There is some new growth but only on the end of the branches and there are lots that are just looking dead. Do I just need to prune this or is it dead ?

    Sambucus nigra can be pruned hard back to stop it getting leggy.
