Hi I have bindweed round edge of my garden Fence. This is now prutruding through my lawn. What's best method to tackle this thanks

stick canes into it to allow it to grow up them, then treat them with roundup gel. The "organics" will be up in arms , but it's the only way to get rid of it. IMHO
I managed to get a lot of it with method Hostafan1 suggests. I also go on a regular bindweed patrol and hack the tops of new shoots off with my hoe. I know I'll never be rid of the stuff but I seem to be controlling it
