I share WillDB's view that used responsibly glyphosate is unlikely to be harmful to the amateur user.  Many of the tests are done using massively high concentration of a product, levels which would rarely be found in the real world.

My uncle was a professional landscape gardener and he used to use Round-Up  in his 2 acre garden at home... but he realized that every dog he had over a 20 year period died early from cancer.   Now he won't use it at all.    I don't think it was just targeted use on very specific problem plants.   I always wonder... on most wildlife garden and wild meadow website instructions the first instruction is: apply weedkiller to the plot.  Doesn't sound very wildlife-friendly to me.

It is possible it is much more toxic to dogs. Macadamia nuts and chocolate can kill dogs, whereas we eat them happily.

Yes, human waste can be used on fields, but apparently not on veggies. And it possibly has to be treated.

I'm sorry , but this sounds like a load of tosh.

WHO says it's " probably " linked to cancer???? "probably" not definitely

Smoking kills half of those who smoke. shouldn't we be banning that first?

What about the ill effects from alcohol?

Can we please keep a degree of perspective?

The one thing you cannot afford to have is a sense of perspective Hostafanimage

Perhaps we can put the weed killer on the shelf with underarm deodorants, clingfilm, fairy liquid, talcome powder, burnt toast, toothpaste, and a thousand and one other house hold products until they have proof.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
