They do and they smell like candytuft flowers. Weird. At least I didn't pull them even if they are not candytuft I think they will look decent when in flower.
I have grown candytufy last year and even I did not think it was candytuft. Im happy though as least I don't have pull them a plant something else. Thanks for the help it does look like iberis amara

They are starting to flower now any clues as to what they are. Flowers do look similar to candytuft and have a weak sweet fragrance.

There are quite a lot of species of iberis (candytuft) and I wonder if yours is not the usual one seen in packets of white, pink and purple candytuft.

The developing flowers look identical to my candytuft, though the leaves on mine are only slightly serrated, much less than yours
I shall have a rummage round the www and see if I can find another species that looks right
