Here's my patch with the G. p. 'Samobor', and Luzula nivea. Hellebores too! Greedy privet either side, a conifer behind, and shaded by another conifer behind where I took the picture from. The soil was clayey and would crack when it dries out, I have dug lots of compost in to improve this.

You might find G. macrorrhizum listed by cultivar name only. 'Bevan's variety' and Ingwersen's variety are a couple in my mind. Also a white one that is less robust and a clear pink. I use them a lot under trees and shrubs.
GCs probably think we can't cope with a word like macrorrhizum
WillDB that patch looks lovely. G. macrorrhizum still looks a bit weed-like to me but I guess that means it will spread easily which is what I need! Macrorrhizum is a long word nut!!

Is the white one 'White-Ness'? Looks pretty. Will keep an eye out when next at the garden centre
White Ness sounds familiar.

Geranium mac. 'Bevan's variety last November at the Bristol Botanic Garden.
Same spot in August. With Epimediums and Iris foetidissima (presumably this is your 'sickly yellow iris'?)
Wow that looks awesome. I will definately try to seek out some Bevan's variety. Great ground cover. Just what I need.
