In the Jan.19th edition of Amateur Garden there is an article entitled Beechgrove garden heads south on the News page. End of March or beginning of April with a new presenter and new features will be added to make it more suitable for a wider range of climatic conditions. BBC exocutives have commisioned 26 half hour episodes for 2013.
I have had a look at this site, and although there is something to watch I was a little dissapointed by the presenters not showing you how/where to cut back in alot of the clips, the focus seemed to be on the presenter rather than down in the action. (thats most of the clips I saw)
I enjoyed the series last year and hope they haven't changed it too much now it is to be broadcast to the whole of uk. Mind you living on the south coast I was a wee distance from Scotland which it was aimed at.
I saw this programme many years ago when it was repeated on BBC1. This was before the enormous rise in daytime tv. I found it very informative as the weather conditions and soils types were very similar to where I live. It was inspirational too as someone who lived in the West of Scotland could produce better fuchsias than me, then he was worth listening.
Beechgrove is great. Loads more down to earth and they have a wee bit o Scottish banter ti gon wi it anaw Hehe. Its great, been watching it for years. I may be wrong but think Percy Thrower used to do it??? Its been going for about 20+ years

No Percy Thrower was just GW-till he was replaced for doing adverts on ITV-seems odd now thinking back
