  Sometimes we find that the wrong pruning regime is what’s causing disappoint with this lovely shrub. 
  
  B. globosa flowers on  previous years’ wood so you have to prune it very differently to other buddleja. 

  
  

  Prune immediately after flowering, and only enough to maintain its shape and size.
