Came up in april in garden. After the flowers, which are held up on stiff 8 inch stems, come the leaves which look like hand sized gunnera leaves? Anyone know what it is, thanks.

Darmera Peltata perhaps? Often grows in bog gardens.
I like it. but it can get rather big, and a bit invasive through its rizomes.

Only hand size? Either yours is a baby or you've got very big hands!
I like it too, but after a number of years I'm having to chop lumps off and throw it out!
