Newbie- would appreciate any advice.
in Talkback
Hello I am new to the site and still finding my way around so please forgive me if this goes to the wrong place. I am new to gardening and have just bought a tree peony - the only name I can find on its pot is Invar dark pink. I have also just been given 2 grannies bonnets- spring magic blue and columbine aquilegia as well as an established blue campanula and some foxglove seedlings. I would be incredibly grateful if anyone can recommend the best ways of planting these plants. I have a south/west facing garden but it is open to the wind, my back garden is sheltered but doesn't get as much sun.
Any advice will be most appreciated. thank you

Prepare the ground well for the tree peony, its going to be there along time. Make sure there are no perennial weed roots, add as much compost or farmyard manure as you can get, and plant at exactly the same depth as it was before. If you plant too deep it wont flower.
Foxgloves will be happiest in semi shade, as will aquilegias. The campanula can go in full sun.
Brilliant thank you!
Natasha, I wouldnt plant foxgloves out if they are only seedlings, pot them up first and keep potting on until they are a good size plant, if you pot them out as seedlings they will be gone by the morning. Slugs will have them.
