Border hedge has dipped/dying

Not sure if anyone can give a solution but we have a hedge which borders our garden and gives some privacy from passers by. We have just purchased the house and part of the hedge seems to be dying and has dipped badly ( the square in the Google picture shows it in a much better and higher than it is now). Is there anything I can do or plant to increase the height of the hedge.
Thanks

It would help if you could post a couple of close up pictures of the damage to the hedge.
Can you get a photo that shows what the hedge is made up of and the damaged bits?
