Growing leaves

  • I can see you really understand the mindset of the allotment holders.  They are very serious about crops and yields.  They work out every tiny detail of cost/benefit and I was too timid to ask them about the leaves - it sounded a bit frivolous so I chose the anonymity of an online forum.

I have been investigating this site and find there are lots of areas to explore as well as the forum.  I've been a garden-sitter all my life (Olympic Gold standard).  I write, read, knit, sew, plan, solve problems  you name it and i have done it while sitting in the garden.  Now I only have a tiny patch with more paving and less beds but lots and lots of pots.  Gradually I am learning how to manage it but advancing years makes it hard work.  I expect the exercise will be beneficial image

Alexsia - there's all sorts here and all sorts are welcome - do feel free to pop in for a chat (about anything) on the Hello Forkers thread - (start at the end, not the beginning, it'll take you a year to read it all).

Wwe just dip in and out, saying hello, exchanging news whether it be gardening, pet, hobby or whatever image

And your thread has given me the nudge I needed - when we came here I was determined to grow some foliage for flower arrangements - I must focus on that now ...
