Tete a Tete Daffodils

BockajrBockajr Posts: 3

I have some Tete a Tetes in an old tin bath which have now finished flowering. I would like to plant them in my borders, do I put them in storage until Autumn or can I plant them straight in to the borders now?

I always replant in borders if I have the space.

In nature bulbs stay in the soil

Thank you, do you think I should do it now or wait till they have died off completely?

In the past I have had tete a tete as indoor flowers, when they are over I plant them straight in the garden and they happily come up next year.

Whatever you do, you need to let the leaves die down naturally, so either dig up clumps now, complete with as much soil around the bulbs as possible, and transplant each clump into your borders, or wait until the leaves have gone brown then dig up, separate and re-plant the bulbs individually into your borders.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
