Wooden trough

I have recently brought a wooden trough 2.5ft high 1ft deep and 3ft wide. I wanted to plant a climber for it to grow up and along our fence to hide next doors home made shed as it's a bit of an eyesore and falling down, I have a small trellis on top of the 6ft high fence. I would like to plant other flowers with a climber to make it look pretty on our patio as it's quite large. Any suggestions. Thanks
