Wisteria to bloom

Invicta2Invicta2 Posts: 663

I can see loads of the small green racemes on it. Wisteria is one of my favourite climbers, but I think it is my wife's favourite plant. We used to live in a terrce house and we had a wisteria in a big pot in the back yard, plenty of sun but it never flowered in 8 years. When we moved here we brought it with us, but it failed to transplant successfully. Whenever we pass a Wisteria in bloom my wife asks me, "when will ours flower", all I could say was patience is neeeded with them. So started from scratch with a new plant and now after another 7 years waiting it has delivered the goods. The joy on her face when I told her that she would finally [been trying about 20 years] get her Wisteria flowers warmed my heartimage.

You are so lucky!   I'm still waiting, but not nearly as long as you have.   Enjoy!
