Has anyone used decking protector on fence panels?

Our 7 year old wooden fence (unpainted) needs some care. It was never painted as we prefer to look at wood. I am not keen on fence paint but I know the fence needs something.

The clear wood stain is a bit of an expensive option (I must have around 30 panels) and clear decking protector looks like a cheaper option.something like this http://www.ronseal.co.uk/garden/decking/decking-protector/

I don't have the first idea about wood treatment so would be glad of advice or suggestions

    Edd, have you used fence life? I have just had a look but it's the 'colour' thing I'm not keen on. I'd prefer clear

    Thanks, Edd. That's just what I am looking for.. and if it can be sprayed on , even better. Thank you for the suggestion
