Fritiallaria Imperialis

ColinAColinA Posts: 392

Hello

Last year i bought two Fritillaria  Imperialis at a garden show, they were both in flower when purchased, I planted them as instructed by the seller this year both bulbs have put out two shoots approx two foot six inches high but neither has flowered.

Has anybody had similar problems or can give advice to make them flower next year.

Thanks

ColinA

Maybe they were 'forced' into flower, and are taking this year to build up energy?  A seaweed feed or come comfrey tea probably would help.

I agree with Blue onion. These come up and you can tell whether they will flower as soon as they appear. If they haven't flowered now they won't. Feed as suggested, it may take longer than next year
