another earthquake in Nepal.  How bad is that?  I guess we will need to dip deeper into our pockets.  Words fail me but it seems so cruel.  With all our personal issues we are so lucky here, aren't we?

Yes Edinburgh is indeed on an old volcano but it isn't anywhere near a moving plate which Nepal is, as is much of the Med and into Asia and so is California.  Mind you if it did move it might give a certain female something else to think about other than upsetting England image

Omg Edd - don't even joke about the super volcano.  Not even Yogi could survive that.

Dove, I have already looked at Shelterbox and they are doing excellent work.

We do get earthquakes here, but they are minor.

Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) also do good work in situations like this too.

Because there is no intelligence, empathy, thought or design to any of it, and certainly no entity called Mother Nature or anything else - we are living on a lump of rock hurtling though space - the only intelligence or empathy is our own and there's little enough of it.

  • The thing is, it seems quite likely that if we didn't live on a tectonically lively planet, we may not be here at all. People are drawn to volcanic areas as they make good farmland.

    Dreadful, just dreadful.

Even tho I'm on a complete news ban since the election, but only for five years image, I have heard of yet more destruction and devastation for those that already have so little! Imagine a world without greed?!! That's all it would take! So frustrating that the human race continues the cycle of repeating previous mistakes one century after the next!!!

So what you're saying Dove is that you sent me to Sunday school so you could have a

lay in, and not because of deep held belief?!!!! image

Fair play, think you were onto a winner there!
