Cutting back Stipa tenuissima

My Stipas look a bit strawy and rough. Will they respond to a hard trim to get them to rejuvenate?

    I comb mine, it is the only purpose I have for a comb these days.

    Haha, same here! I will give them a brutal haircut in late April next year, as per Verdun, and give them a 'comb' for the time being. (They are starting to green up, now I check).
