Wisteria help
Hi. I recently bought two Wisteria plants (1-2 months ago) and both were a few feet tall when I bought them. I have them growing up the sides of my house and i used bagged soil (i forget which type now but it was recomended on the RHS wbesite) and I also used bonemeal when I planted.
As you can hopefully see in the photo the plant on the right seems to be doing fine, but the one on the left doesnt seem to be doing much.
I've tried to show the tip of the left one where you can hopefully see that it is slightly black around the top and looks as if he has been snipped.
So question is, is there anything I can do to help the left plant? Should I remove the blackened part? If so, how? Or should I be doing something else?
As you can no doubt tell I am an absolute amateur, any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

They are both planted very close to a brick wall so their soil will be dry as a bone and they will be struggling to thrive.
I suggest you trim off the blackened part of the stem cutting back below it to the next pair of branching stems and then water them generously (10litres each) at least once a week and more frequently in hot spells all this summer until their roots have had time to develop and grow down to find moisture. Give them feeds of tomato food to encourage formation of flowering buds for next year and each successive year.

Hi Logan, 1&half what away??
One and a half feet = 18" At least that far away from the wall

Hi I have two wisteria in my back garden one of which is thriving and the other has taken a few years to get going and at last the smaller one is flowering, although you have them either side of your door one maybe slightly more exposed to the wind, also check the soil type as my garden has different types. Also I would suggest growing them away from the foundation of your house as Logan suggested and for the best flowering they should ideally be trained horizontally. They really benefit from feeding with homemade compost I include local stables horse muck and it really does the trick!
They will have side shoots and these can be trained sideways, maybe above & below your house windows. They will cover a large area eventually - not just over your front door. Vine eyes in the wall and wires to tie the growth into, will be useful before long.
Already have about 3 or 4 rows of wire holding them up now. Will try and sort the horizontal growth too!
I rather think you just need one to go over your front door and cover your front wall.
