Identify the problem
Hi guys! Six months ago I moved to a beautiful house with a small garden. Though I had absolutely no idea how to maintain a garden. Since then my personal life went through hard times so I couldn't take care of my garden. About two months ago I noticed that some wild plants were growing in there but they were 10cm long so I didn't bother. But now some of those plants are more than 2 meters long so I really have to do something right now. I am going to go my local bauhaus to get gardening tools but before I go I would like to hear from you guys about what I should do in order to get rid of those plants in my garden for ever. I am uploading the photos also.

Thistle, self seeds everywhere, you'd be popular in Scotland, but as a garden weed it's easy to dig up, and I'd do it asap before the seeds start to set. You'll have them in the soil for a few years, but it's a case of constant weeding till they appear no more.
Lovely crop of thistle.
Put on your thickest winter jacket and leather gardening gloves, and try to get as much gone prior to the seeds maturing and spreading. You really need one of those old fashion scythes (think: grim reaper) to cut everything low, then attack with a hoe and hand tools to get the roots/stem up. Short of that, maybe some sort of pruning shears?
Thank you so much for the fast responses guys. Looks like a tough job is waiting for me.
I still can't believe how fast those plants has grown. Crazy.
I have never considered thistles to be easy to dig up. They have very long taproots. Good Luck.
