Mowing after spreading fertiliser

It rained all day yesterday so I took the chance to spread a little lawn fertiliser on the grass. Sun came out this afternoon, I was wondering if it's a really bad idea to run a mower over the lawn. My guess is I better wait several days. Any advice anyone.

Leave it a week really, any weedkiller in as well? If so don't compost the cut grass.
No Dave, I avoid pesticide use. But thanks, I'll leave it until the end of the week so.
I don't bother with lawn fertiliser, I leave my grass clippings on and that does the job
