    thanks welshonion, they are below the soil line but on the mail stem but are very different to the 'normal' branches.

    Next winter use a winter wash with diluted jays fluid it does work
  • Found another couple todayimage one on the Invictaimage  will persevere untill I can give jeyes fluid a go.

    how much jayes fluid to water ratio in winter please ?

    I'll have ask hubby he does the spraying, we've used armillatox last time but can't

    Get it now, so have to us jeyes fluid.I will ask him tonight

    Sanjy67 for armillatox it is 4ml go 5lts, hubby says jeyes fluid is stronger,so I don't really know maybe half of that.You would have to look at instructions on container.

  • I had this problem 3 yrs on the trot.One day the leaves were big and healthy the next the bush was stripped clean!.

    It had been in the same place for years though from the previous allotment owner.

    I decided to dig it up and move to a new site for this year. Fingers crossed, it's doing very well in it's new home.

    We shall see.....
