Sunflowers

bazabaza Posts: 670

Hello Everyone

I've been planting Sunflowers around the garden but as soon as they come through the seedlings are being eaten by snails or slugs so i planted some in pots in the greenhouse and they are about 1 foot tall is it safe to plant them out now or should i wait till the end of the month.

Thanks

Baz

Hi baza, I would harden them off first then plant them out, I would harden them off for 1 to 2 weeks! Then plant them out!

That's ok, careful they don't get eaten though lol don't want to waste all that time for some hungry slugs! image

They will be slug food again whenever you put them out. Protect them with plastic bottles with the top and bottom cut out.
