Comfrey

Ian 4Ian 4 Posts: 26

Hi all

I have made a mix of comfrey over the past few weeks. I wonder if anyone could tell me the quantity of my mix i need to add to a litre of water, for a general liquid feed?

Thanks

It depends on how 'strong' your comfrey liquid is.  A good rule of thumb is to dilute it so that the result looks like weak tea.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Hello Ian 4

Did you put the leaves in water to decompose then? Just looking at my Garden Organic booklet on comfrey. If using a water mix it says to use 1kg leaves to 15l water, multiplying up or down according to the volume of the container, and it will be ready to use after 4-6 weeks.  I think if you're just letting them decompose dry in a bucket then you'd need to dilute it.

"When liquid is thick and black dilute 20:1 and when thin and brown dilute 10:1." I hope that helps!
