My Salix Tree is looking ok on one side, but is just bare branch on the other so the effect is half a tree.
Any ideas any one what the problem is and more importantly can I do anything about it.

The tree looks like a Salix integra Hakuro Nishiki (Tree) (Dappled Willow)
Not sure of the age of the tree we moved here 18 months ago previous owner was no gardner so its probably pre 2001
The only other possibility the council sprayed weedkiller around the footpath that side of the tree last year.?
