Poorly Tree
Hi Everyone,
A friend had a tree in a pot that they didn't want and I have taken it off them, with the hope of bringing it back to life. The tree does need a slightly larger pot if not for the tree just to make it study in the wind.
The soil is moist but I can't see to get the tree to look healthy, is there a good food I can put in the pot or will any plant food do?
Here is a picture of the tree, I'm not sure of the type.

If the pot was too small it was probably starved and probably got too dry as well. In addition it may have suffered frost damage to new growth. Now you have repotted it, so it will have undergone some root disturbance. It will need time to recover from all of this so don't worry too much at the moment. Keep it somewhere cool and sheltered to avoid additional stress from hot sun (!) and wind, keep it watered and trim off any branch tips that have definitely died. It should soon begin to feel and look better.
Sorry for the late reply I have been working away.
i have fed the tree and trimmed loose branches, I'm hoping it grows well as I have good spot for it!!
