Rosa, I keep hearing the Fairy Dell. Do you have any pictures? I am hoping that mine will be full of little creatures that you can notice, and would love a section of loads of stuff in miniature
It started when one of the trees we had to have cut down was carved into a mushroom by the tree surgeon. Daughter came and said i should make a fairy dell around it.
At first I thought I would fill it with plants with fairy names - rose the fairy, clematis oberon - but then i found it was easier said than done, along with the fact that the neighbours put up a fence, there hadn't been one before, and it casts shade., So some of it is now very immature shrubs, roses and a few herbaceous -to be finished. The pool in a bath, and stuff. it has taken longer because the bloke who came to do paths was VERY laid back artist who basically turned up when he had bills to pay I will finish seating area myself, I may be slow but not THAT slow!
I think pics would be a great idea They will give inspiration but also lets other see your style and learn from them. I will see if I have anymore. Dont think I do mind but before and after sounds great
It's taken me ages to upload this lot. It is the Fairy Dell as it developes. You can't really see but benihd the little fence is dug ground waiting for more pretty stuff when the year progresses

Just checked, somehow 2 photos are out of order. You can probably work out which
This is less than a quarter, I guess of what I have. It is a strange shaped garden - a wedge but no side is the same length. it is also wide rather than long. It is creating a few problems in what to do.

Do you have many plans for this year Nutcutlet?
I will
Thank You.

Got a post in earlier here Sam. I'll try and get down with the camera tomorrow to demonstrate the shambles.
I think we need more 'before' pics in this thread to be followed by 'after' pics later in the year.
