Hydra Runner Bean

I'm new to gardening and I'm attempting to get a runner bean wigwam set up for my toddler to play in and to hopefully provide some veggies too. I've got a Scarlet Emperor runner bean seedling in the greenhouse that has thrown up three stems with two seed leaves each and thought it seemed odd, all the others have only got one stem. I've carefully lifted the seedling out and checked it before replacing it and the stems are definitely all coming from just the one seed. I guess these things do crop up in nature from time to time but I'd like to know if this is common or if it is likely to have much affect on the plant??

Just occasionally you get these weird things happening to plants. If you are feeling adventurous, just grow it and see what happens. I've had more strange growth patterns from home harvested seed, but the parentage of those is often dubious.

Full marks for the toddler play area but you might find that the beans take over as the summer progresses.

Nice idea but watch toddler doesn't eat them can't eat them raw.
